Archiving Pioneer Offers Cost-Effective Archiving Solutions That Support Multiple Content Types, Providing Flexible Deployment Options and Delivering Excellent Customer Support.

Bossier City, La. -- November 14, 2013 -- ArcMail Technology, Inc., a leading provider of best-in-class archiving solutions that address multiple business issues, today announced it has been included by Gartner, Inc. in the November 5, 2013 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA). This is the second consecutive year that ArcMail has been named in the annual EIA report, with Gartner identifying the company as a "Vendor to Watch" in 2012.

According to Gartner analysts Alan Dayley and Garth Landers, authors of the 2013 EIA Magic Quadrant, "This market will continue to see strong growth, experiencing a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.1% through 2017, from a baseline of $1.61 billion in 2012."

"This robust EIA market momentum demonstrates the value and increasing importance organizations place on archiving for preserving and managing their essential business data - not only for regulatory compliance and e-discovery, but also for purposes of reducing IT time and primary storage costs," said Rory Welch, CEO of ArcMail. "As the market has expanded, ArcMail has remained dedicated to innovation and has accelerated its development efforts, and we believe our inclusion in the 2013 Magic Quadrant is a major milestone for our company and our customers."

ArcMail differentiates itself in the EIA market as one of the most versatile archiving vendors, supporting multiple content types and deployment methods. The company allows organizations to deploy its archiving solutions in accordance with their existing IT infrastructure, whether it's via an on-premise, virtual or hybrid cloud gateway appliance, or a fully-hosted solution.

Archiving Continues to Move Beyond Email Content

Today's IT leaders are not only recognizing that the benefits of archiving extend to content well beyond merely email, but are also now looking to scale their archiving initiatives.

According to the 2013 Magic Quadrant for EIA, "Organizations that have successfully implemented email archiving have seen associated benefits in their ability to better organize their data, eliminate PC-based storage, find information when they need it, produce it in response to a discovery request, and, as a side benefit, reduce the size of their primary and secondary storage environments."

ArcMail is well-positioned to address this market shift, with a full scope of on-premise, virtualized, hybrid and hosted archiving solutions that allow organizations to archive all of their data in one secure, redundant archive that is fully indexed and searchable. The company's EIA offerings can be used for Office 365, Google Apps Gmail and other hosted email solutions, along with server-based email including Exchange, Lotus and GroupWise; instant messaging and social media data; SalesforceTM ChatterTM; SharePoint files; and other content types.

"We're tremendously proud of the recognition ArcMail has received from leading experts and thought leaders in our field," said Welch. "Most importantly, we're proud of the value, ROI, security and cost savings we continue to deliver to our customers day in and day out."

Announcement Caps Year of Product Innovation

In addition to the October 2013 launch of ArcMail Hosted Archiving (AHA), a fully-hosted archiving solution, ArcMail also recently introduced new next-generation hardware for its appliance-based archiving solutions, delivering increases in processing power, memory and storage capacity - all in a smaller footprint to conserve data center space.

This year also marked the February launch of the Defender VM, designed to help IT managers optimize archiving in virtualized environments. The Defender VM is now available and is offered in configurations ranging from 2 to 32 terabytes of archived storage.

The ArcMail Social archiving solution was also an innovative addition to the company's product line in 2013. The offering is designed to help organizations protect, organize and quickly retrieve valuable social media data, and addresses the new trend toward courts placing social media content in the same category as email with regard to regulatory compliance and e-discovery requirements.

Other popular ArcMail offerings include the ArcMail Guardian, for reliable, secure and scalable archiving for hosted email platforms such as Google Apps Gmail and Office 365; and archiving solutions for Salesforce.com Chatter and Microsoft SharePoint. The company also offers the ArcMail Cloud / Storage Gateway, a new breed of hybrid cloud/ network technology that enables businesses to designate whether they want to store their archive in the cloud, on local storage, or both, and take advantage of the cost savings that cloud storage provides.
